I was tagged by Georgia over at Lost in Neverland and it honestly sounded super fun so I had to give it a go 💛

Love You Like A Love Song: A romance novel that is cliché but you still love it
Oh I did love this one! Okay so it’s not technically a ‘romance’ novel but in my mind, it was more love story than sci-fi story so I’m using it 😂 this was a slow burn, arranged marriage, only-one-bed romance that just hit all the right buttons for me. Can’t wait to read more by Everina Maxwell!
Rare: A book with a female protagonist unlike any other
We need more protagonists like Alessandra! She was sly, she was wickedly sharp, she knew what she wanted and damn if she didn’t take it! Definitely turned me into a Levenseller fan for life haha.
Look at her now: A character who suffered a lot (physically/mentally) but eventually recovered and is now at the better end of life
Feyre is so broken after the events of book one and her journey towards healing herself in this one is amazing. I won’t talk to much about it because most people will have already have read, and if you haven’t I don’t won’t to spoil anything! But the way she starts to reconnect and love herself again…I just flail every time I think about it.
Wolves: A book that got you out of a reading slump
Oooh, so here’s a completely different genre to what I usually talk about on here! Singh is actually one of my favourite writers of all time, and the Psy-Changeling series is one I will always turn to if I’m in a book slump. I think I’ve read Slave to Sensation at least seven times now. I love it so much!
It ain’t me: A character you used to like but not anymore
….is there where I lose all my followers? 😂 Okay, so I first read City of Bones as a teenager and really enjoyed it. I remember absolutely adoring Jace and wanting a whole lot more of him. Then I reread it as an adult recently and actually…Jace is kind of a dick to Clary. He withholds vital information on purpose, feeds her scraps she doesn’t need, and basically almost kills her various times. He’s sarcastic, but in such a mean way that it just didn’t seem funny to me anymore. Anyway, /endrant. I don’t like Jace. His ancestor on the other hand….
Feel Me: A character you can’t bear to see with anyone else but you
Noaaaaahhhh!! I loved this book pretty much entirely because of Noah. He owns my heart, with his scruffy hair, his comic book t-shirts and his willingness to do anything for the woman he loves.
Same Old Love: A book with an unoriginal and unrealistic romance
The romance between Sam and Grace actually really weirds me out. She first met him as a wolf when the other members of the pack were going to maul and eat her. She becomes obsessed by him (not knowing he’s human. So she’s obsessed with a wolf). Then she meets him as a boy and the first day they meet she takes him home and sleeps in the same bed as him. Also the poetry. Ugh.
The heart wants what it wants: A book you regret finishing because you miss reading it a lot
I am so glad I have more Pulley books to read. This is one of my favourite books of all time and I’ve been putting off reading the sequel for so long because I know I’m going to be really upset to have to leave Keita and Thaniel behind. (Although I did find out there’s going to be a short story out in October, so that’s something to look forward too!)
Back to you: A book you read again and again even though you have other books on your TBR pile
So this series has a lot of problems. I acknowledge that, but it still doesn’t diminish my love for this first book. I actually was never very fond of the rest of the series but Temeraire will always hold a special place in my heart. It’s about a lonely man who finds a dragon egg and his whole life is completely changed when the dragon bonds with him.
Hit the Lights: A book that just made you forget everything else
This is the only holiday-themed book I read this year and it came at just the right time for me. It’s a book that deals with the grief of a loved one, about moving on and still enjoying life, and not feeling guilt about that. It has a wonderfully sweet romance and adorable side characters in the dogs, definitely one I highly recommend if you’re into festive romance novels!
Tell me something I don’t know: A book people keep recommending you which you already have it in your TBR pile
Okay so at this point I can’t even remember how many people have recommended me this book 😂 I’m determined to read it before the last book comes out but I’m so afraid of being disappointed! My expectations are sky high because the hype surrounding this book is intense.
I can’t get enough: A book series/world you just want more and more of
I want more Jude. I want more Cardan. I want more Cardan and Jude together! Basically I want more of this world. I know that some of her previous books are set in the same world and I’m determined to read them all soon. And then I’m going to hope that she writes more dark faerie books! I’ll definitely be pre-ordering them when she does 😊
I always feel super awkward for tagging people but I always find these fun to do so hopefully people don’t mind! Please feel free to have a go if you’d like, or just completely ignore me 😅
Let me know if we share any of the same answers! Many thanks again to Georgia for tagging me!
