Top Ten Tuesday: New-to-Me Authors I Read in 2020

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018.

2020 was the year I properly got back into reading after several years of just dipping in and out and you can bet I discovered a lot of new authors! I read a lot of different genres so I could get a feel for what I enjoyed now as a 27-year-old, some books didn’t quite work for me anymore, but some I found I really loved now I was older! In particular romcoms never really appealed to me before, but now I have a whole bookshelf dedicated to them!

Because of how many authors I did read for the first time last year, I decided to make a list of the top ten I most enjoyed, whose books I’m looking forward to reading in the future as well! I’ve put in brackets what genre they come under because, I’m very much a mood reader and flit in and out of different genres all out the time!

So here’s a list of some of the more popular series that I’ll (probably) never read.

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018.

What better way to start the year than to set a couple of specific goals! I’ve grouped them into different categories and I’m hoping I can fulfil at least half but we’ll see. If last year was anything to go by I’ll probably just wing it as usual.

To Be Read: January 2021

Well it’s the second week of January and I’m finally posting my tbr. Honestly I still can’t believe it’s 2021 already. All fingers crossed that this year is a improvement, I really don’t want a repeat of 2020, thank you very much.

Anyway, this is my tentative tbr for January. I’m a chronic mood reader so I tend to switch genres a lot but I have a few arcs (!) to read and a lot of books on my physical tbr pile to get through before the sequels come out. I’m also hoping to participate in a couple of Readathons, but we’ll see what I end up having time for haha.
