ARC Check In: February ’21

I debated whether to actually do a check in for this month because my ARC situation hasn’t really changed much. Like I said in my Life Update, due to being so poorly all the time I didn’t actually get much reading done at all in February. But then I also did want to try and make this a regular thing and missing out one month will probably bug me in the future 😂

So! Here we are with this month’s check in…

Back in January my netgalley ratio, through some wonderful fluke, was 106%. I knew it wouldn’t stay like that forever and as soon as I posted a review it went back down haha 💦. It’s currently 70% though so I’m not too far off that fabled 80%!

Finished Reading:

All the Tides of Fate by Adalyn Grace – Publishing date is 2nd Feb, I managed to post the review for this one before I went on my unexpected hiatus! I didn’t enjoy it as much as the first but I’m still a huge fan of Adalyn Grace’s writing and will definitely keep an eye on whatever she writes in the future.

Act Your Age, Eve Brown by Talia Hibbert – Publishing date is 9th March. The last of the Brown sisters! I was so sad to finish this trilogy because Hibbert really does write amazing romantic comedies and I will definitely miss this quirky family! I highly recommend them to any romance fans out there! My review for that one is here.

The Kingdoms by Natasha Pulley – Publishing date is 27th May. YES NATASHA PULLEY DOES IT AGAIN. My review won’t be out for a while but this book absolutely blew me away. I stayed up all night reading it which is not like me because I do love my sleep! 100000% recommended to anyone who likes historical fantasy, or a brilliantly written, gut-wrenching m/m love story.

Next to Read:

I won’t talk much about the ones that were also in Jan’s check in because my thoughts are still the same as last time. I didn’t really request much so this list hasn’t changed a lot 😅 I was hoping to read The Shadow in the Glass next but I just got The House in the Cerulean Sea through the post and that will probably be my next read!

Just the Way I Am by Jo Watson – publishing date is 16th March. I just got this one accepted yesterday! It’s a rom-com about a woman who re-invents her life after getting amnesia. It sounds like a lot of fun and I am such a sucker for a good amnesia story.

The Shadow in the Glass by JJA Harwood – Publishing date is 18th March.

Last Night by Mhairi McFarlane – Publishing date is 1st April.

Threadneedle by Cari Thomas – Publishing date by 27th May.

The Secret Life of Albert Entwistle by Matt Cain – Publishing date 27th May. This was a wish I got granted recently! It’s not my usual type of read but it sounds utterly charming and adorable. It’s about 64-year-old Albert, a postie, who is being forced to retire but finds himself living an utterly lonely life, so he sets out to find the love of his life, a man he lost years ago, and ends up on a life-affirming adventure to discover himself. I’m really looking forward to it!

You and Me on Vacation by Emily Henry – Publishing date 8th July.

She Who Became the Sun by Shelley Parker-Chan – Publishing date 22nd July.

So that’s the state of my ARCs for this month! I have requested a few others but not been accepted yet so I’m keeping my fingers crossed for them!
