Top Ten Tuesday: Books I Hope Santa Brings

I’m trying to get into a bit of a schedule so at the moment I’ll be posting Tues, Thurs and Sat. I did try everyday to begin with but my gosh it was a bit stressful. I don’t know how some of you do it 😂

Anyway, onto today’s post. I enjoyed doing it last week so here’s another Top Ten Tuesday! This time it’s books I hope Santa brings me because Christmas is only three days away now (and how did that happen?!)

The House In The Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune

I so so badly want this one! It’s such an expensive book but look how beautiful that cover is! So whimsical and I’ve heard so many good things about it. Definitely the top of my list of books I want Santa to bring me this year!

A Deadly Education by Naomi Novik

I’ve heard some…very mixed things about this one but I’d still like it. I’ve only read one series by Naomi Novik, her debut one called Temeraire and I still have very fond memories of it so I’d love to read her newer work.

Sorcery of Thorns by Margaret Rogerson

Honestly this book has me sold on the premise of librarians who must protect the world from dangerous books. How fascinating is that? It sounds and looks amazing!

City of Brass by S.A. Chakraborty

I’m pretty sure I’m the only person who hasn’t read this series so Santa should bring this one to me just so I don’t feel so left out haha.

Serpent & Dove by Shelby Mahurin

For some reason, I realised the other day, I have Blood & Honey but not Serpent & Dove and I have no idea how that happened! Obviously now I need the first book so, please Santa! Please bring me this one so I can finally get started on this amazing series.

Fable by Adrienne Young

I actually just read an ARC for Fable and loved it! It doesn’t actually come out in the UK until the end of January but I’m perfectly okay if Santa wants to preorder this one for me.

Cemetery Boys By Aiden Thomas

A diverse read with ghosts, this one sounds absolutely fantastic. I’ve only heard amazing things so I’m very excited to see if Santa leaves me this one on Christmas morning!

Date me, Bryson Keller by Kevin Van Whye

I don’t read many YA Contempt but I’m willing to branch out to read this one. It sounds sweet, funny and very heart-warming.

These Violent Delights by Chloe Gong

A Romeo and Juliet retelling but with gangs and it’s set in Shanghai? Honestly I’m upset I don’t have this one already!

The Poppy War by R.F. Kuang

I mean, if Santa doesn’t bring this one I’m more than willing to buy it after Christmas! Either way, I’m definitely getting this one soon!

So, those are ten books I’d love Santa to bring me this year! Do you have any books you’d love the jolly old man to bring you?

As always, happy reading!

    • I’ve seen a lot of people loving Serpentine and Dove so I’m excited to finally read it (maybe 😂) and yay! Glad you enjoyed Sorcery of Thorns, I think that’s one I’m definitely going to have to buy in the new year 😊
